About

Dad mode: On (even when they’re not here)

Hey — I’m just a dad.

A 45 year old dad to two amazing boys who are currently 5 and 9. I’m also a co-parent, navigating the aftermath of divorce, the push and pull of 50:50 shared custody, the emotional rollercoaster of doing this part-time parenting thing, and the full-time job of loving my kids with everything I’ve got.

This blog is a space for me to breathe. To document the highs — when things go right, when we laugh till it hurts, when I feel like I’m doing something right. And the lows — when things feel heavy, when transitions are hard, when the silence is louder than I’d like to admit.

It’s a place to vent, reflect, celebrate, and occasionally laugh at the absurdity of it all.

I don’t have all the answers. Honestly, I barely have matching socks.

But I’m here. I’m trying. And this space helps me make sense of it all — the dad days, the in-betweens, and the unexpected feelings that come with parenting two little humans while figuring out life after divorce.

If you’re a parent, co-parent, or just someone who appreciates raw honesty (and maybe the occasional dad joke), you’re welcome here.

Thanks for reading.— Me
